Ustad Farida Mahwash commonly referred to as Ustad Mahwash is a singer and voice of Afghanistan. She was the first woman to have been conferred the honorary title of “Ustad” in 1977. She currently lives in Fremont, California, US; and tours the world with her latest all star ensemble Voices of Afghanistan.

Ustad Awalmir was an ethnic Pashtun Afghan composer, musician, singer, and poet who wrote and sang in the Pashto language. He began learning music as a teen from various music teachers and began to perform for radio broadcasts. His first song was My Heart Has Broken To Pieces.

Tawab Arash is a singer from Afghanistan. He was born in Herat and is the nephew of the acclaimed composer and singer Amir Jan Sabori. He is the younger brother of the famous Afghan film actor Nemat Arash.
